Yesterday’s Dinner
Cluster Beans Poriyal.
Poriyal is a simple, everyday South Indian vegetable stir-fry — dry (not saucy), lightly spiced, and often finished with fresh grated coconut.
This one was made by my wife and served with a fresh salad and some warmed bread from Coles.
Nothing fancy.
Just home-style food, cooked with care.
This Morning’s Thoughts
Today, I found myself reflecting on the past few years.
It has felt like a hurdle race — one challenge after another.
There have been plenty of mistakes.
A lot of learning the hard way.
And many gaps in knowledge that no theory could fill — only real experience and experimentation could.
The Journey So Far
There were many ideas along the way.
Some never left the notebook.
Some had a very short life.
Some are still waiting for their time.
I even bought video cameras two years ago — and didn’t film a single video.
The focus was always short term:
Pay the bills.
Keep the lights on.
While quietly trying to build something better in the background.
Where Things Stand Now
Now, life feels like it’s slowly settling.
There’s a sense of structure beginning to form.
I just hope the current uncertainties don’t bring a new set of challenges — but I also know that’s part of the journey.
What Simple Food Reminds Me
Meals like yesterday bring clarity.
You don’t always need something big, complex, or perfect.
Sometimes, simple and consistent is what keeps you moving forward.
Final Thought
Just like food…
Just like business…
Just like life…
Keep showing up.
Keep cooking.
Keep building.
